This week Brandi and I were able to send our contract to Everlasting Adoptions along with payment for all of the adoption agency services. We've cleared a big hurdle!
Once accepted by the adoption agency, we had a window of 10 days within which we needed to prepare our application and gather funds for the initial payment. It's a great feeling to know that we were able to come up with resources and begin the adoption process during this period of time and without complication.
These are exciting times! We've chosen the color of the nursery (more details to come in a later post) and nearly cleared the room out. It's crazy how we have begun to speak of having a child with the knowledge that the chances of being parents have increased. Some feelings of uncertainty are still there (because it's never a SURE thing, right?), but we feel the anticipation of progress and we're excited to see what's next.
